Reiki is an ancient healing practice that connects greater life force energy to the life force energy within us.
The Reiki practitioner, which is myself, is the middle person between the universal energy force and your energy force. Through a series of hand positions, the Reiki practitioner will facilitate the flow of universal energy into your energetic system. You and your body will naturally decide what personal energy needs to be released, i.e. what needs healing within you. Often, we hold onto stress, trauma and fear in our body. The buildup or stagnation of these prevents a free flow of energy between our mind, body, and spirit, which can result in emotional and physical symptoms.
Who you are called to work with is not coincidental. If you are drawn to me and my energy, we have something to learn and gain from one another.
If you feel like
you are instantly angry,
you are chronically stressed,
you are always tired, or
your life is lacking joy,
then Reiki is a beautiful way to heal.
Prior to your session, you will set an intention for the session. The intention can be a word or a sentence, but will be kept private until we have our discussion. The session is virtual and is about 45 minutes, with 15 minutes of discussion thereafter.
For distance, in the comfort of your own space, you will lie down where you can remain uninterrupted for the duration of the session. Once you are ready to begin, you will grant me permission to enter your energetic system and I will initiate the session. I will visualize your energy and use Reiki specific hand positions to channel universal life energy into your system.
"My time with Kirsten was nothing short of miraculous - it was really crazy what came through and I couldn’t believe how accurate the reading was. She is unbelievably talented and clearly gifted."
-Melissa F.
"As Kirsten worked her magic on my energy, I felt an overwhelming sense of peacefulness. Any anxiety or stress I had been feeling melted away not just for hours, but days. My stagnant energy shifted in one session with Kirsten. Thank you!!!”
-Kelly B.
It depends. Your energetic body will determine what needs healing but Reiki has been known to help with anxiety, stress, guilt, headaches, body aches and pains, digestion, insomnia, and chronic illness, among others. Again, your body will decide what is needed and where it is needed.
No. You and I will not speak during the session unless there is something that needs tending to. After the session is complete, you and I will discuss your and my experience, at which time you can ask questions.
No. Reiki is nothing like a massage because physical contact is not required for Reiki.
We are all made up of that same life force energy. However, I have received an attunement from a Reiki Master, which deepened my energetic system. This allows me to be a greater conduit for energy, and thereby connect your life force energy to the greater life force energy, wherever you are located.
It depends. In general, a consistent Reiki practice is the most beneficial, which can be weekly or bi-monthly. If there are substantial energetic blocks, more sessions may be required to work through each block. Ultimately, you and your body will know what you need.
It varies. Some people will observe colors or images during their session, while others can become so relaxed and calm that they fall asleep. Other common sensations are tingling, stomach rumbling, and cold or hot sensations in the body.
Reiki is an ancient practice with roots in Tibetan Buddhism but, it wasn't until the late 1800's that Reiki was advanced by Dr. Mikao Usui as a method to heal oneself and others. Dr. Usui's teachings were enhanced by Chujiro Hayashi in Japan and then brought to the United States by Hawayo Takata, and these combined teachings are what the western world know as Usui Reiki.
Reiki specific hand positions cover the front and back of the body, but are not used on any personal areas of the body. All hand positions can be performed with or without physical contact. Any physical contact is light and static, but is, again, not required for Reiki. The hand positions are intended to align with your seven major chakras, and are thus at or near each of your chakras.
